Want to Volunteer?
cosplayers
Cosplayers are volunteers who dress up as different characters. These are not Halloween costumes. These are high quality outfits that are found on cosplay sites for purchase or made by the cosplayer.
handlers
Handlers are volunteers who keep cosplayers in line and keep them looking good. They speak to the public about our organization, take pictures, do quick cosplay repairs, etc.
behind the scenes
We can always use volunteers to help with fundraising, sorting donations, filling senior stockings at Christmas, and any other tasks that are behind the spotlight.
Cosplay criteria
With each cosplay, we look for a certain degree of accuracy so that the children can easily recognize your character.
We do not allow "Halloween costumes" (costumes purchased at Wal-Mart, low quality costumes, etc.). We suggest that the cosplay you choose to submit is an easily recognizable character. Additional costumes not mentioned in your volunteer application are submit to approval.
"Personal interpretations" of characters or "mash-ups" are not allowed. Accessories that are not canon are subject to approval.
You are "portraying" a character to bring joy to children, not standing around wearing a costume.
We require a video of yourself portraying your character as well as full body photos of the character you wish to portray with your application. Multiple characters are permitted with approval.
